daylight savings

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Hey again "people"!

I’m in the middle of studying for my physics test (more like onlining and neglecting my books which are like in front of me and which is in front of my lappie as well^^) and I just thought that I might blog a bit so that you "all" will have something to read cause I know my blog is such a "big hit" with all of you.

MOVING ON….

YAY!!

Daylight savings is over!! Now, I am in the same time zone as Brunei. Isn’t that great? If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands!! *silence….*

=.=”

That was embrassing~~~

Anyway, for all those that don’t know what daylight savings is. Here is a "brief" introuction….

In countries where they have 4 seasons not like Brunei where you only get your hot + dry season (URGH!) and your cold + wet season. That’s right, Brunei only has 2 SEASONS!

ANYWAY….BACK TO THE POINT…

In summer, the days are freaking longg~~ I mean over here in Perth, the sun only sets at like 9pm. Soooo~~ they have daylight savings where everyone basically set their time an hour earlier so that the day is shorter, you get me? So, we’re in autumn now (I think) so there’s no need for daylight savings anymore. So now everyone revert their time an hour later HENCE the same time as Brunei right now.

It feels like I have gained an hour extra and I will be younger an hour more. WAHAHAHA!! Okay! I know that doesn’t make any sense but just humor me okay GOODD!!

I can’t wait till it’s winter cause it’s so hot now and I am so done with being hot all the time. WAHAHAHA!! I think it sounds kind of funny when I said that. Oh well, I am hot *cough cough*

I’M SO DEAD!

Really really dead! I have a climate change project to do, a physics test next Tueday and my mid-sem math exam in 2 weeks!!

WTF!?!?!?

I think the uni takes pleasure in seeing their students pouring over assignments, projects and exams. I tell you…I don’t know whether I have said this before BUT……

EVERYBODY IN MY UNI ARE ALL BLOODY NERDS!!!

Like they’re all really really smart!! I can always see tons of people in the library studying. Okay! I go to the library as well but I just waste time going there. I just blankly stared into space and wait for my next lecture. THAT IS WHAT I DO and I happen to enjoy it. Hehehe!

Anyway, seeing all those students studying motivated me to study as well cause they look so smart man! I’m so scared!

ANYWAY

Haha! I spend my whole Saturday at home. I slept till 1pm cause Eddy wanted to hang with us the night before and we talked till like 3am in the morning and his eyes was all red and he was really tired but it was fun.

We played "cho tai di" I don’t know if I pronounce that correctly or not. My chinese sucks. After that we played taboo, it’s a board game. There are a pack of cards with words on it and you have to make the others say the word on the card but there are words that you can’t say too…

OKAY! FOR EXAMPLE…

Like if the word on the card is apple and below that word, there will be a list of like 5 words which you can’t say cause once you say those words then the others will know what the words is. So okay, like for apple right, you can’t say red, fruit, etc…if you do that you get a penalty.

ANYWAY,

We played and we decided that whoever gets the most wins and whoever gets the less will have to run 5 rounds outside and it was like the middle of the night so we all wanted to win. In the end, I was the loser so I had to run and it was freaking cold(it’s autumn). Van and Nora videotaped the whole thing on their phones. They all laughed at me cause they intitally said that it’s either running 5 rounds or drinking a glass (alcohol in case you don’t know) but I said that isn’t fun cause they would all pick to drink instead so we decided on the 1st.

GOD!! I regret so much for saying that.

Mixed Feelings

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Oh.My.God.

I’m having mixed feelings about uni life now. I used to think it would be exciting and fun to go to uni but after living away from home for a month, I’m really starting to feel homesick.

Sometimes, I just want to go home and take a break. I really can’t stand studying anymore. I’m really stressed out but I know I have no choice but to go on and that makes it suck even more.

Wouldn’t it be great if everyone had a job right after they graduated? I mean like there’s already a job waiting for them so they don’t have to worry about unemployment. The world would have been a much happier and joyful place to live in but sadly this world is cruel and really really mean!!

Ah well….nothing to do but to stick it out.

Everyone has gone through this and they dealt it with it okay so I can do this as well.

Argh~~!!

ANYWAY~~

I have problems with my maths and it would be nice to have Mr.Lim tutoring me….NOT!!! I rather fail than let him teach me again. TOUCHWOOD!! TOUCHWOOD!! I SO DO NOT WANT TO FAIL. *knocks wood rapidly*

AND I found out that my mid-sem maths exam is on the 11th April. WTH!?! Mid-sem ma! It’s not even in the mid semester. Stupid Uni.

ON TOP OF THAT, every other uni in the whole of Australia has 1 week of easter break whereas UWA only gave us 2 DAYS BREAK!! Unfair or not?

Gosh! Of all the uni for me to be enrolled into, I just had to pick the uni which is soooo DAMM STINGY with the holidays!

That said, I have a earth science project to do on climate change and I have a small physics test next week PLUS I have to do my pre-work for my chemistry practical. Busy busy week~~

Did I mentioned that UWA is full of NERDS, me included (well, maybe not so much) ?

Well, there are! They’re all SUPER SMART. They study hard and play even harder. I hate them all cause they make me look like an idiot. Not that I’m a genius or anything but I can study well. I do my assignments. I do my research. I do everything but they do it twice as better!

Bah~ That’s all. outs

bus stop

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

I wasted my whole afternoon!!!

GOD!!

Here’s the story. I went to Subiaco to cancel my gym membership cause the freaking staff told me that they can hold my membership and that they won’t charge me anything BUT they still charged me for it! SO, I went down to Subiaco which took like FOREVER to get there and when I got there, the lady who served me the last time wasn’t there and that she will be back on Monday so I totally wasted my time going there BUT I guess if I had use my brain a little bit, I would have call ahead before making the stupid trip down there!

But, at least I got out of the house instead of lazing around with nothing to do.

You know, you can actually see a lot of interesting people while waiting for the bus. I was at the bus stop, waiting (obviously) for my bus then this group of teens walked past us and I know for a fact that everyone at the bus stop STARED at them BECAUSE 2 of them were decked out in black under the HOT SUN! I don’t have anything against people wearing black BUT they were wearing long black "vampirish" cloaks with high knee combat boots. Really goth-like and it looked kind of silly and cool at the same time. Silly cause it was so HOT and they still wore those inappropriate outfits. Cool cause when…it looked cool.

Then the bus came, I got on and I was on my merry way to Subiaco(without knowing that it would amount to nothing). I was looking out the window and guess what I saw?? I saw a middle-aged man with a beer belly wearing only his underwear. I SWEAR!! I’M NOT MAKING THIS UP!!

He was just strolling on the streets in only his underwear and of course thongs. I was like o.O I wished I have taken a photo so that I can have evidence of it really happening. It’s something you don’t see back in Brunei eh? Hehehe~~!!

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that I saw this really hot guy walking past the bus stop, TOPLESS!! OMFG!! His body was to die for!! It would have been better if he took his pants off as well. *drools* He had tatts all over his body. On his back and his chest. OH! His glorius sculpted chest! I just want to run my hands all over him! *slaps self* I have a boyfriend…I have a boyfriend….calm down…calm down…

uni life

Friday, March 21st, 2008

Hey “people”

How are you all doing? Good? That’s great…like i give a shit….

ANYWAY,

I just thought that you all would like to hear an update on my life in perth so far~~

It’s all good now. I’m getting use to everything but I still miss home. DO YOU HEAR ME!! I ACTUALLY MISS BORING OLD BRUNEI!!!

It’s really tough the first few days in uni but it’s all getting better now. I met a lot of people here and they’re all really interesting people. Wahaha~!! They are really lucky to have met me cause I’m unique (BARF!).

Haha! I have to tell you this one incident that happened to me in uni. I enrolled for a maths unit and it is kind of like the maths I did in A levels so it was like I was doing the same thing again. I did it for a week then I got a call from the uni saying that they “upgraded” my maths cause the maths I was doing was too “easy” for me cause it was a duplication of what I did in A levels. So I was literally in hell in the 2nd week cause I missed one week’s worth of lectures and I was really panicky but because I’m soooo TALENTED and SMART, I managed to pull through so take that you “upgraded” maths unit.

Other than that, life in uni has been smooth. There is like so much stuff going around here and there is ALMOST always BBQ here and it’s FREE!! but they always just serve hot dogs but it’s better than nothing and I don’t even have to pay a cent. PLUS, I get drinks for free as well. That’s right people, free food AND drinks. How more can you ask for?

The stuff here is really really expensive man~~!! Like a sandwich costs A$4.50 and it doesn’t taste that nice either. The chips here are also expensive. One small packet costs about A$1.30. Well, at least I’m sure I won’t get fat cause I won’t be inclined to buy. Haha!!

*silence*

*silence*

*silence*

Okay…this is getting awkward so that’s all for now. outs.

Perth baby~~

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

hey everybody~~

it’s me again~~

wait! before you click that little red x box, hear me out.

im in perth baby!! well, for my studies you idiots. anyway, perth is really really kind of like brunei. it’s peacful and quiet. not much about it but im getting use to it.

the first day i got here was really WOW!! look at all the angmohs!! it was the first time i have ever seen so many angmohs in one place before and it’s really different to have them serving you cause in brunei, angmohs are consider like the upperclass people and being asians and all, we are like supposed to serve them so i felt so "lin" to have them serving me. i was like "yeah baby~~"

anyway, back to uni. the campus is really huge when i first got there. i was all panicky like "omg how am i going to get to all my classes without getting lost" but after walking around the campus for like a zillion times, i was like "ppppfffttt~~ it’s not that big." haha.

may i just say that i have really have taken living in brunei for granted. everything here is so DAMM EXPENSIVE!! even the electricity and the water bill. like we dont even on the aircon here but we do sometimes but not for a really long time like in brunei when we can on the aircon for the whole day!

the food portions here are HUGE! like their normal portion can feed 2 people. i think i might gain *cough cough* anyway~~~

lectures here are so convenient. everything can be done online. the lectures are recorded so it’s like we dont have to go at all. haha~~!!

god…im getting lazy…bye..
